La piazza racconta – Festivals and Traditions in Rione Serra Venerdì

Friday, 11.09.2026 , 20:00

Previously unpublished photos from the early years of the Serra Venerdì district, with stories from Don Michele La Rocca and Domenico Bennardi. Part of the 70th anniversary programme.

An evening about the beginnings of Rione Serra Venerdì: previously unpublished photographs from the district’s early years are shown, while Don Michele La Rocca and Domenico Bennardi talk about life there – with a particular focus on the festivals and popular traditions that shaped the neighbourhood.

The event is part of the programme for the 70th anniversary of Serra Venerdì, one of the districts to which the inhabitants of the Sassi were relocated in the 1950s. The celebration on the church square the following day is part of the same anniversary.

The event is in Italian, and admission is free.
